Inground Pool Installation: 5 Days of Progress in Granville Ohio

TRACKING PROGRESS ON A GRANVILLE POOL BUILD

Five days into our Granville pool project, and things are really taking shape.

There's something special about watching a backyard transform from a simple hole in the ground into what will soon be a family's favorite gathering spot.

Today marks an important milestone as we're getting into the details that really matter - the ones that make sure this pool will work perfectly for years to come.

When people think about pool installation, they usually picture the big moments - digging the hole, laying the shell, filling it with water.

But it's the small details, like precisely marking water levels and planning equipment placement, that separate a great installation from just an average one.

Let me walk you through where we're at and why these details matter so much.

Project Timeline Overview

We're at day five, and the progress is right where it should be. The pool shell is in place, and we're in the middle of one of the most critical phases - the initial fill. Yesterday's water truck delivery got us started, and we're expecting another one today to get us closer to full. But this isn't just about putting water in a pool - every inch of water level helps us plan the next steps.

Right now, Easton's working on the skimmer installation while we manage the water levels. We've got the pump, filter, and heater locations mapped out in the corner of the yard, and our plumbing will tie everything together. We're also coordinating with a third-party electrical contractor who'll be on site next week to handle all the power requirements. This kind of scheduling and coordination keeps everything moving forward smoothly.

The key to a successful pool installation isn't just about getting each step right - it's about making sure each step sets up the next one for success. That's why we're so particular about things like water levels and stone placement. Every decision we make today affects how well this pool will serve its family tomorrow.

Smart Solutions in Pool Construction

Let me tell you about a simple but smart idea Easton came up with that's making a big difference on this job. We started using paint tape with foot markers along the pool wall to track the water level as we fill. Sounds basic, right? But this little trick is saving us time and helping us get things exactly right.

See, when you're filling a pool, you need to know exactly where to place the stone around the edges. Those tape markers tell us precisely where we need to build up our stone base. It's not just about making it look good - it's about making sure everything is properly supported and drains the way it should. This is the kind of attention to detail that prevents problems down the road.

Technical Components

There's a lot of moving parts when it comes to pool installation. Right now, we're focused on getting the skimmer system installed correctly. This isn't just about sticking a piece of equipment in the wall - it needs to be at the perfect height and angle to work properly. Get this wrong, and you'll have problems with water circulation and debris collection later.

The plumbing setup is another crucial piece. We're running everything to the corner where the pump, filter, and heater will go. This takes careful planning because you want the equipment to be accessible for maintenance but not in the way of enjoying the pool. Plus, everything needs to be properly sized and routed for maximum efficiency.

Next Steps

After today's water delivery gets us closer to full, we'll be focusing on getting all the stone placed around the pool. Come Monday, we'll start the detailed grading work around the entire area. This is critical for proper drainage - you don't want water running toward your pool when it rains.

While we're handling the grading, our electrical contractor will be on site running power to all the equipment. This is why coordination is so important in pool projects. Everyone needs to know their part and when they're supposed to be there. Once all these pieces come together, we'll be ready for final adjustments and testing.

Project Management Insights

Here's something most people don't realize about pool installations - it's like conducting an orchestra. You've got water deliveries to schedule, stone to coordinate, equipment to place, and different crews to manage. Take our Granville project - we're balancing our work with third-party electricians, planning around water truck deliveries, and making sure everything happens in the right order.

One thing I've learned over the years is that flexibility matters. Sometimes you only get one water truck instead of two, like yesterday. That's okay - we adjust the schedule and keep moving forward. The key is keeping everyone in the loop and having a clear plan for what needs to happen next.

Looking Forward

When this pool is done, it'll look simple and elegant - like it was always meant to be there. But that's the mark of a job done right. Every measurement, every marker, every careful stone placement comes together to create something that'll bring years of enjoyment to this Granville family.

From here, we'll wrap up this project and head to Delaware for a big hydroseed job. That's another thing about this work - you're always looking ahead to the next project while making sure the current one gets the attention it deserves.

It's 5:30 in the evening, and we're still out here working. Not because we want to be pulling extra hours, but because sometimes that's what it takes to get the job done right. When you're dealing with equipment issues, you've got two choices: pack it up and head home, or figure it out and keep moving. At Double B, we

There's something special about being called back to a property for the third time. Out here in Pickerington, we're working with a family who first reached out to us about a culvert issue. Now, we're completing our third major project on their property. That's what happens when you focus on doing things right the first

The sun's barely up in Carroll this morning as we get ready to tackle a major underground electric installation. At Double B, we're no strangers to early starts, but today's project is particularly interesting - we're looking at running about 650 to 700 feet of underground electric lines. That's more than two football
